Moo’s measurements
October 25, 2006 at 7:05 pm | In ABR | 7 CommentsWe are off to ABR at Avoca so we will be off line for just over a week.
Moo has recently had a growth spurt. His AFO’s that fitted perfectly during orthopaedic review just over a month ago, now only come half way up his calves.
Just for the record:-
* Moo is now 29 months old;
* weighs 11.5 kg;
* length 83 cm;
* head circumference is 49.5cm;
* chest 50cm;
* waist 49.5cm;
* hips 45cm;
Things Moo can do:-
* commando crawl;
* sit crossed legged for 5 minutes unsupported;
* sit hollywood style if leaning on something;
* go from kneel to high kneel if leaning on something;
* put his arms above his head;
* put his arms behind his back;
* prop on one elbow;
* do a continuous roll, each way;
* commando crawl sideways (but not backwards);
* kick his legs in bicycle motion when in the pool;
Things Moo can’t do:-
* sit straight legged (actually, he can’t straighten his legs full stop);
* crawl normally (though we are working on this and getting close);
* stand;
* move between positions (ie crawl to sit);
* walk (just to state the obvious);
* touch his toes;
* sit up.
We are hoping that ABR will facilitate some of the above in the can’t do list. I would actually be estatic if it regulates his bowels and achieves nothing else.
I’ll let you know what ABR is like when we get back. In the meantime, take care of yourself!

Are you glad to be back on dry land? The ground stopped rocking yet?
Still trying to pack. Not so easy with the boys. Hoping they will go to bed early.
Can’t wait to see the tournament photos!

Good luck!
I’m sure that ABR will help with a lot (if not all)of the things that bug Moo.
I just love the motto of the Nicholas Trozzo Fondation : Because it is possible.
Hope is really the most important commodity when dealing with CP

I stumbled onto your blog. I too have a 2 yr old boy with CP. Moo is doing a lot of really cool things. Good luck with the ABR. They don’t have that here that I know of.

I don’t really know what ABR is but I hope you find the peace to be pleased with whatever the answers/results are. Remember that some of the best positives in life come about as a result of what at the time was a pretty big negative. Thinking of you.
