Gang of two
November 29, 2006 at 5:14 pm | In Bits & Pieces | 4 CommentsI have big head cold that has settled now in my lungs. I feel incredibly miserable so I hope what I write makes sense.
Over the past couple of months, I’ve noticed that the two younger boys are getting closer and closer. Master C has started playing with Moo and Moo laps up the attention. On the day they go to kindy, Moo is distressed if he can’t see Master C playing in his class’ yard. And if one of them gets into trouble, you have the other one coming to his defence telling me No Mummy – No! It’s not unusual for the other child to start crying in sympathy. This doesn’t mean that they don’t still fight between themselves. They do. But they are very quick to join forces and turn on the enemy. Which I’ve noticed is me most of the time.
It is really nice to see them so close. Moo was a month old before Master C even met him. And he only saw him one more time before Moo left the hospital. It must have been a huge shock for Master C to be confronted with this very tiny baby who chucked up over everything. At least this time around, Master C has a lot more understanding that a new baby is coming home some time after Christmas.
The upside of the gang of two has also been Moo’s speech. He has become Master C’s parrot. That’s right. There is an echo at our place. Whatever Master C says, Moo repeats. He’s coming out with some amazing stuff. However, there is a phrase that he uses – it sounds like standing up but obviously isn’t – that I’m yet to desipher. I’ll let you know what it turns out to be.

I’m parrot-ing it to myself and not surprisingly have no idea. Haha. Can’t wait to see the boys. Is Ad taller than me yet?

I’d say there would be a good chance.

Very cute photo.
I think my two had their first misunderstanding this morning. I had stacked blocks in front of L that I was helping him to knock down. M grabbed his arm and knocked the blocks down for him, whereupon he started crying bitterly. M either hurt his stiff arm or he wanted to “do it himself”…Or both.
